On November 6, 2025, students from our laboratory participated in the College of Engineering Student Poster Competition at National Sun Yat-sen University, presenting their research outcomes and engaging in academic exchange.

The poster presentation, entitled“Sustainable Biotechnology for Air Purification: Effects of Packing Materials on Performance and Microbial Community Structure,”investigated the effects of different packing materials in biotrickling filter (BTF) systems on volatile organic compound (VOC) removal efficiency and microbial community structure. The study aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 13: Climate Action.

Through this poster competition, students effectively communicated their research background, experimental design, and key findings, while exchanging ideas with faculty members and students from various disciplines. The event highlighted the laboratory’s research strengths in environmental engineering and sustainable biotechnology, as well as its commitment to student research training.
